Job Description:

Identify, evaluate, manage and monitor the risks that the company may face in its various activities, to ensure the protection of the company’s assets and reputation and compliance with relevant laws and regulations, primarily the requirements of the Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA).

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement risk management policy and procedures in line with the regulated regulations.
  2. Identify the types of risks (credit, operational, market, liquidity, legal, technological) and analyze their impact on the company's business.
  3. Prepare periodic reports on the status of risks and submit them to the senior management and the risk committee.
  4. Monitor the main risk indicators (KRIs) and alert in case of exceeding the approved limits.
    Work with other departments to ensure that risk management is integrated into all operational processes.
  5. Assess the risks of new products or expansions before their adoption.
    Coordinate with internal and external auditors and the Qatar Financial Markets Authority regarding business risks.
  6. Contribute to the preparation of an emergency plan and business continuity.
  7. Conducting stress testing and scenario analysis.
  8. Developing a risk culture within the company through awareness and training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • A professional degree in risk management (such as FRM or CRM) is an added advantage.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in risk management, preferably in the securities sector.
  • Full knowledge of the legislation and regulations of the Qatar Financial Markets Authority.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in reporting.
