1 Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how QSC collects, uses, shares, transfers, retains, and safeguards personal data in connection with its international brokerage services. It should be read together with any other privacy notice issued by QSC.
1.1 Data We Collect
Personal data may include identification and contact details; national ID or passport information; bank, funding, source-of-funds/wealth and other financial information; investment experience and objectives; account, holdings, order and transaction records; communications; and technical information relating to access to the platform.
2.1 Use of Personal Data
QSC may process personal data to open, verify and administer accounts; perform KYC, AML and sanctions checks; transmit and process orders; facilitate clearing, settlement and custody; meet legal and regulatory obligations; communicate service information; maintain records; and detect, investigate and prevent fraud, market abuse and cyber-security incidents.
3.1 Sharing of Data
For the purpose of providing international brokerage services, QSC may share necessary personal, account, and transaction data, to the extent required for providing the Service, with authorised technology and service providers, brokers, custodians, sub-custodians, exchanges, clearing houses, regulators, auditors, and other parties involved in execution, settlement, custody, compliance, or related functions. Such sharing is subject to applicable confidentiality and data-protection requirements. QSC does not sell client personal data.
4.1 Cross-Border Data Transfers
International brokerage may require personal data to be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions outside Qatar. QSC will handle such transfers in accordance with applicable Qatari data-protection requirements and the contractual and security safeguards applicable to the relevant service providers.
5.1 Data Retention
Personal data will be retained for the duration of the client relationship and thereafter for the period required by applicable laws, regulations, record-keeping obligations, dispute-resolution needs, and legitimate compliance purposes, after which it will be securely deleted or anonymised where appropriate.
6.1 Data Security
QSC applies appropriate technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure, and requires relevant service providers to maintain appropriate safeguards in accordance with applicable agreements and law.
7.1 Client Rights
Subject to applicable law, clients may exercise the rights available to them in relation to their personal data, including requesting access or correction and, where legally permissible, deletion or withdrawal of marketing consent, by contacting QSC through its official customer-service or compliance channels.
8.1 Changes
QSC may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Service, applicable law, regulatory requirements, or data-processing arrangements. Material changes will be communicated through QSC’s usual channels where required.
